What happens in state government starts with your vote. The out of state and big local money players know that control of the state government is won or lost in the PRIMARY ELECTION.
If you are a conservative and walked away from the party, I hope you realize that you only get to vote in the general election for who the party picked for you in the PRIMARY election. I encourage you to re-register as republicans and get involved in the primary elections - that is where you get to choose who will represent you.
In SD you can bet that the republican party will stay in control for many years to come. The 'primary game' has been played behind the scenes for decades and hundreds of thousands of dollars are spent every election cycle to make sure the party maintains control and that you do not take control.
Get involved, if every one can convince even one person to cast their vote for me (and other conservatives across the state) I promise I will be your voice.
